Margaret’s House Dartmouth Nova Scotia

I lived in Dartmouth for about twelve years, drove by this house many times, had no idea that inside volunteers had been serving up free meals, at least one per day, since 1996 full time and before that part time. A story of generosity and grace.

Story goes that Margaret Savage, for whom the house is named, was an avid volunteer and committed to the mission of the house – to feed people who need it. Word is she worked quiety, steadily, no fan fare. Lots of results.

Hmmm. Just like the house.

Thank you Margaret’s House for sharing your story with me. Truly inspiring.
